The Compton Family Ice Arena: A New Era in Notre Dame Hockey - Commemorative Book
The University of Notre Dame ushered in a new era in its hockey program in 2011-12 with the opening of the sparkling new Compton Family Ice Arena—and the Notre Dame Athletics Department has produced a special commemorative yearbook to celebrate the occasion. The 72-page, perfect-bound, 8 1/2-by-11-inch piece is chock full of color photos from the days of Irish hockey gone by up through the current season. Included are feature stories on the new arena, current head coach Jeff Jackson and former Irish coaches Lefty Smith, Ric Schafer and Dave Poulin.
You’ll also find a Notre Dame hockey historical timeline, a look at the all-time Joyce Center team, plus a photo section on the 2011-12 Irish squad. There’s also a selection of photos—including the front and back covers—from the first game played in Notre Dame’s new home for hockey.
